Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Lung disease limits your ability to do normal everyday activities, such as dressing, walking, bowling, even just keeping up with the kids and grandkids. These normal “activities of daily living” become a chore.
Pulmonary rehabilitation is an outpatient program that helps you learn how to take care of your lungs and to breathe easier. This, in turn, will help you perform “activities of daily living” with less work. In addition, learning how to take care of your lungs will help minimize emergency room visits and hospital admissions.
Salt Lake Regional Medical Center offers a Pulmonary Rehabilitation program run by a team of physicians, respiratory therapists, physical therapists and dietician. Your physician will need to write an order to refer you to the program.
