Each year, about 180,000 men in the United States are diagnosed with prostate cancer. As you get older, the risk of developing this cancer steadily increases. By age 75, half to three-fourths of all men show some cancerous signs in their prostate glands.
Because prostate cancer is slow growing, many cases will pose no serious threat to health. But others will require active treatment.

Meet the Surgeons
Blake Johnson, M.D.
Dr. Blake Johnson was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley. He completed his undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University. He attended medical school at New York Medical College and subsequently completed a residency in urologic surgery.
Dr. Johnson cares for patients within the broad spectrum of urologic disease. He also has interest and experience in laparoscopic and robotic surgery, kidney stone disease prevention and treatment and urologic oncology.
Bradley Waterman, M.D.
Dr. Bradley Waterman is a native of Salt Lake City and completed his bachelor's degree at the University of Utah. He graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine with honors and completed an internship and residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. There he was trained in general pediatric and adult urology as well as being trained in advanced urologic laparoscopy, robotic surgery, and endourology.
Dr. Waterman's practice includes general adult and pediatric urology, with an emphasis on stone disease, prostate and renal cancer, infertility, and endourology. He specializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques including robotic-assisted surgery.
