 Baby Care Workshop 
This class will discuss newborn appearances and behavior, early adjustments to parenting, and daily care of the infant. Handling, comforting, bathing, and diapering will be demonstrated. This class information is included in the four-week childbirth class. Our Saturday Childbirth patients may register separately for this class, which should be taken before the delivery/arrival of the newborn.

Baby Shower Class
Begin preparation for your delivery. Join us as we introduce our Women’s center and our prenatal education programs. A tour of the delivery suites, nursery area, and maternal infant unit is included.

Big Brother and Big Sister Sibling Class
This class is designed to help children prepare for the new baby in their family. Children will learn what to expect when their new baby arrives home, how to channel feelings of frustration, and how to recognize the rewards of being an older brother or sister. This class is structured to benefit children ages 3 to 10. The class will include a tour of the birthing center at the hospital.

Breastfeeding Basics
Mothers will be provided with current information, guidance, and encouragement to help make breastfeeding a positive experience for you and your baby. A registered nurse/certified lactation educator teaches this two-hour session. The class not only prepares first time mothers, but experienced breast feeders as well. Mothers will be provided with current information, guidance, and encouragement to help make breastfeeding a positive experience for you and your baby. This is not just a “How to” class, it gives mothers solutions to common breastfeeding challenges. A supplementary book with information on breastfeeding is available for purchase at the class.

Sign 2 Me - Sign With Your Baby
By reinforcing key spoken words with ASL signs, you provide children with messages both audibly and visually, helping them focus their understanding of these words. This helps preverbal infants and toddlers discover the meaning of these words sooner while simultaneously giving them a way to express their needs, desires, and observations before they can speak.
